MBA (CM)

An MBA in communication management guarantees to provide an insight into mingling business with media, which is a combination cherished in the entire media industry.The eligibility criterion to apply for the same is, as follows:

  • The candidate should be a graduate from a recognized university with 50% or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for SC/ST) aggregate.
  • Applicants awaiting their final year results can also apply. However, their admission would be provisional and subject to their furnishing proof of graduation with 50% marks in graduation.
  • SSMC-B is a B-school for enthusiasts who want to work in the Media industry.

Admission Procedure


  • Visit https://www.snaptest.org/ for application form and all information related to SNAP 2019.
  • Register for SNAP 2019 and make payment of SNAP registration fees Rs.1750/-
  • Upon payment, a SNAP ID and password is generated which will be essential to fill up online form for SSMC-Bengaluru’s MBA (CM) Programme.
  • Appearing for SNAP 2019 exam is compulsory for seeking an admission to SSMC-Bengaluru’s MBA
    (CM) Programme.
  • Only those candidates who have registered and paid for ‘SNAP 2019’ will be eligible to apply for MBA (CM) program.
  • Fill up Online Application Form for SSMC-B’s MBA (CM) Programme and pay the registration fees of Rs.1000/-
A Group Exercise, Personal Interaction & Written ability Test will be carried out for the shortlisted candidates by SSMC-B.

  • Group Exercise will include an activities to assess aspirants in areas like Innovation and creativity, Team Work, Time Management etc.
  • Written Ability Test will include questions to assess the writing skills.
  • The Personal Interview round will be to assess aspirants parameters such as Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills, Academic Proficiency etc.

Eligibility Norms


SNAP 2019 ELIGIBILITY:

  • University or Institution of National Importance with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes).
  • Candidates appearing for final year examinations can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes). Note: Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non-fulfillment of the above stated criteria.
  • Programmes which require specific discipline / subject specialization need to be checked for eligibility as given by the respective Institute.
  • A candidate who has completed qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees / qualifications need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission to any programme of SIU.
  • Important: It is the responsibility of the candidate to ascertain whether s/he possesses the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

RESERVATION POLICY OF SIU:
Following will be the reservation policy for admission to any programme of Institutes of SIU (except Symbiosis Institutes of Management Studies, which has separate policy #)

A. WITHIN SANCTIONED INTAKE
Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%
Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%
Differently Abled *: 3%

B. OVER & ABOVE INTAKE
Kashmiri Migrants: 2 seats per programme
International Candidates: 15%

A candidate applying under any of the reserved category (Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / Differently
Abled / Kashmiri Migrants) are mandatorily required to submit relevant document(s) issued by competent
authority. Any participation at any stage of admission process by such candidate is purely provisional and
always subject verification & authentication of such relevant document.
In case a candidate falls under more than one of the above categories (e.g. Scheduled Caste as well as
Differently Abled or any other combination), s/he would need to select any one Category (i.e. either Scheduled
Caste OR Differently Abled in the case of example mentioned above) at the time of filling up the SNAP Test
registration form. The category selected by the candidate at the time of filling the registration form will be
considered to be her/his category for the entire admission process and her/his benefits & entitlements shall be
according to such selected category. S/he will not be able to claim benefit under any of the other categories at
any stage of admission on any account whatsoever.
Please also note that if any information provided by the candidate with respect to her/his category is found to be
incorrect, the University shall have right to cancel the candidature of such candidate at any stage of the
admission process.

Mr Kingsly D

Mr Kingsly D has completed his B COM (CA) and  has 3 years of work experience in the accounts. His designation is Accounts Assistant in SSMC.

Ms. Chandana holds an MBA in Human Resource and Marketing. She has almost 8 years of experience in different industries like hospitality, automobile, and construction as an HR person. She has been working at SSMC-B for the last 4 years.

A graduate from the University of Mysore. She has 15 years of Industry experience and has worked in Finance and Education sector. She has excellent communication and presentation skills. She also takes care of the logistics administration at SSMC-B.

Ms. Aparna Joseph – Corporate Relations Executive

Ms. Aparna comes with 16 years of industry experience. She is in charge of Placements, Internships, Industry Initiatives, Projects and Alumni Connect. Strengthening Industry-Academia connect and enduring associations for SSMC B. She has a Master’s Degree from Pune University and a HR professional.

Mr. Suresh holds a Master’s Degree in MBA (Finance). He has almost 15 years of experience in educational Institutes. He started his career as an Auditor. He had worked as an Accountant and also has significant experience in Admission sections.

Mr. Padmanabha VR holds a Master’s Degree in MBA (System’s & HR) He has almost 7 years of experience in educational Institutes in Computer Science and Information Technology. He handles the institute’s Admissions and Eligibility.

A graduate in Master of Business Administration in HR. She has almost 5 years of accounts experience. Her specialization is in the area of Finance. She has earlier worked at the Reliance Life Insurance before moving on to Finance.

She holds an M.sc in Human Development Specialization (Home Science). She had worked as a Customer Service Associate in online portal, academic team supporter and email supporter. She is adaptive to new environment and challenges and likes to take care of pets, being creative, listening to music and making friends.

Mr. Ram has done his BA from Mysore University and been with SSMC-B since 2011. He helps the Administrative department.

Mr. Murali is B.Com graduate and assists the Accounts department.

Mr. Ravi assists the Exam Department and the Library for its day to day functioning.

Mr. Mahesh supports the administrative department for its daily functioning.

Mr. Yogesga K N  has Completed Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science and Engineering) in VTU, Belagavi. He has 2.8 Years of experience in Educational Institutions in the Computer Science and Engineering Department. At SSMC-B  Mr Yogesha takes care of the IT related issues as the IT Support Admin of the Institute.

Admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International University (SIU) are strictly on merit basis based on the criteria and processes prescribed by the University and assessment of individual performance in Symbiosis National Aptitude Test [SNAP] for Postgraduate Studies and Symbiosis Entrance Test [SET] for Undergraduate Studies.

All aspirants / parents are hereby notified that some individuals / organisations are giving / making false and misleading advertisements / claims in newspapers, websites, social media platforms that they can ensure admission to Symbiosis International University and also charging heavy amount for the same.

In this regard, SIU requests the aspirants / parents to refrain from entering into any transaction with such elements. SIU has not appointed any individual / agency / organisation to make such assurance on its behalf. It is a matter of Policy that SIU does not charge capitation fee for admission from students and this is widely and prominently published as well on all the relevant places like prospectus, website, SNAP Booklet, SET Booklet etc.

Despite this Notice, if any aspirant / parents still proceeds with or enters into transaction with such elements, they would be doing so at their own risk and cost. SIU further notifies that any aspirant attempting to approach SIU for admission through or at the instances of such agents will be permanently debarred from admission to all the courses and programmes at Symbiosis International University.
